Random Thoughts...
The one thing that is definitely good about my new job is the bus service...The ten minute joy ride gives me ample 'time for myself'...And they play good music...
Today, it was raining...realised how much I missed monsoons in God's own country...It had been five years since I left...Brought back a lot of memories...wet uniforms, wet hair, wet books...wet trees, rivulets of water on the road....
A tamil song - haunting music - took me to college days, the amazing excursions .... the don't care attitude , the same assignment written many times ... paid for by diary milk...whose size was proportionate to the pages written ... the friendships lost forever....
And then the same song- a sadder version - as if it was almost telling me that I can never go back in time...brought me back to the present...and the deadlines for the day....
Yea, and I almost forgot to add - the people in my new firm are far more humane, loving and caring....and more importantly, more genuine...than the crazily competitive and self-centered ones in my old firm...
P.S. I didn't understand the lyrics of the song, but the music was soo haunting (the sad version brought tears to my eyes) that I came to office and actually googled it...And well, no surprises - it was a song from the latest movie Sivaji and music was by A.R.Rehman.

Memories. Yeah. :)
@princess: yea, our space...increasingly owned by others
Getting old brings us new and varied memories, which we will cherish when we grow older. As long as we do things we like, our past will always be cherished by us.
And getting old is very relative. :) If ageing is getting old, then everyone is old.
