Ironies of Life
A survey conducted to measure the "Happiness Quotient" in the team, revolving around questions of whether your efforts are getting recognized and due credit given....without giving credit to the designer of the survey....
A medical student on duty denied urgent medical aid. Reason given - staff shortage !
A vehement support given to a friend...to the extent of agreeing that "a friend's enemy is my enemy" ....without considering what this unknown enemy "feels"...
So many such instances in life, where the intention and result do not match...
I wonder... a little bit of extra sensitiveness in us, a willingness to see all sides of the story, a more open mind...can these overcome the bitter ironies of life? At least, the small everyday ones...

@alex: yea, I wonder why we find it difficult to open up our minds...
@sarah:hope you had a great easter with your kids!!! I can understand...most of us tend to believe that the way we percieve and present facts represent the 'objective truth'...it is a natural fallout of this that we consider people who try to look beyond what we state (and think of the other party's side of the story) as insensitive and having a closed mind...Afterall, ever since the days of tribal communities, the human mind has been conditioned to believe that if you are my 'friend' then my 'enemy' should be your 'enemy' as well !!!
