Alone in a Crowd...

...it's a feeling that most of us experience some time or the other...when the mind leaves the confines of the body and its surroundings and flies off....at times in a happy glider, at times in a depressive free fall...

....in a classroom where everyone else is paying rapt attention and you are dreaming about your soul mate

.....in a party where you wonder why your wavelength just doesn't match with the group you ended up with

.....in an airport lounge where you are literally in the middle of strangers - different airlines, different destinations....just one common linkage "delay due to fog"

I often wonder, whether one is expected to control the mind in these instances and make it concentrate on the present and train it to be an active part of it or is it more fun to let it be....in quite literal terms .....a free spirit

When the mind realises that it is alone, then controlling it would mean suppressing it.

It is how different people perceive things.

Take things as they are, and most feelings will go.

alone is a frame of the mind. some take it as solitude and crave it, some take it as lonliness and hate it. but no one realizes that it is one of the greatest truths that exist.

:) I get it. We know the outcome, but the path is difficult.

Let it be...after all fog delays happen only seasonally, we hardly do parties,we are over the classroom stage...and besides, carpe diem...

@t'sme : Well, I get stuck in airports every week (fog delay or airport congestion....result is same), party every weekend and nostalgically remember those classroom sessions every time there is a con-call....and had to google what carpe diem is all abt :P
