Dilemma

"To what extent should I sacrifice my self-respect and my ideals to ensure my baby's comfort?" - that's the nagging question in my mind these days. If I stand my ground and in the process subject him to some uncomfortable situations, will that be "my selfishness and ego coming in the way of my child's upbringing" ? Or will it be a lesson in "strength at the time of adversity" for my son?

I think you should just go with the flow and do what feels right at this point - self-respect/ ideals/ ego be damned. You are thinking for Sid's best and that has less to go with selfishness and more to do with concern! Don't go too much into the future thinking of "strength at the time of adversity" ... there is plenty of time for all that! :)

@anu: haha...i still spend atleast 30 minutes everyday thinking of what to do come dec 8th (when my maternity leave comes to an end) ...and still am nowhere close to a decision :(
