One More Time...

One more time, I burn my dreams
To fire up yours...
One more time...
I soak up your tears in the spongy remnants of my expectations...
I manure your garden of hopes by my decayed ones...
I take the smile from my heart and place it on your lips...
One more time, I muffle my screams of agony
For you to have a peaceful sleep...
One more time, I paint your portrait;
With the blood of my soul.

Tinkerbells,

hmmm. Does it give you peace?

@alex: my life has never been a search for peace...maybe I should start now !!!come to think of it, it may have been 'cos I always felt peace is a superficial calm, the great inner peace always seemed a mirage to me...unless you happen to have a "everything is ok" attitude or your abode is in the Himalayas :)
well, poor attempts at humour apart, your comment makes me think !!!

Tinkerbells,

It could be superficial too. Or genuine. Only the person would know.

If by superficial, you mean fleeting, then everything is fleeting. We learn. We change. Some stagnate. Depends on if we wish to change or stagnate. We stagnate when we feel we know everything and we are right.

@alex: what i meant by superficial was a combo of both fleeting and 'not genuine'...I am yet to meet a person who doesn't have conflicts in life...who is at peace with himself/herself...so conflict is more permeating and easy to find than peace...some manage conflict some don't...but is managing conflict the same as peace? stagnation - most obvious scenario is what you mentioned...but, it can also happen when we are jus tired of searching...sometimes one can learn to stagnate (need not always learn to change na ?)...a sort of hibernation of the mind - so that it survives the harsh weather...

Tinkerbells,

"but, it can also happen when we are jus tired of searching"

Oh yes. I think it happnes to a majority of us as it is easier following the bandwagon.

But i believe that peace is attainable when we realise that peace is not about stagnating nor is it about sticking forever to a few ideals.

But again, only a person him/her self can say whether they are happy and at peace and are truly happy within.

Conflicts occur due to the presence of more than one path to a particluar choice. Mostly the paths are in conflict, either because it is not appealing to us or to the world. It again depends on what we 'think' is right.
